Boston Baked Beans

I recently had the chance to go to Boston for work. Our staff had a great time hanging out and learning more about admissions and recruiting. We tried the Boston Baked Beans at a local restaurant and they weren't much to write home about . . . I shouldn't be wasting space here either about them.
Scott enjoyed the lobster. The conference hosted a dinner at a mansion on the coast. I can't think of the name of the mansion at this very moment, but it is the mansion from Meet Joe Black with Brad Pitt. So . . . I could say I have been to Brad Pitt's house right?
The best part of the trip was when Courtney hid in our rental car trunk and jumped out to scare our boss and team. Courtney is the one in the picture laughing her head off. Our boss' reaction almost made us all wet our pants. She jumped and screamed for at least 20 seconds. Enjoy the pics!

Big Baby, Big Dog, Little Cat

Marleigh and Jessica came to visit! It was fun to see how much Marleigh has changed over the last eight months. Stiletto loved Marleigh and is still looking for her constantly and whining for her. Stiletto taught Marleigh how to pull her rope. They were buds! Oedipus is getting a lot of attention from Stiletto and is quickly losing weight from all her running around the house. I'll try to catch a pic of her soon (if I can find her). We had a cool front today and it is about 65 outside at 10:00pm. WONDERFUL! I'm thinking of you Texans!

New Bag O' Tricks

Stiletto had her first adventure with the next door neighbor dog (Michael Jordan). He goes by MJ and he came over to play. It only took about five minutes for MJ to have enough of Stiletto's puppiness.

Stiletto and I have been working on some new tricks. When grandma was here visiting a few weeks ago we threw Stiletto's toy so much she had to sleep on it to make sure we weren't throwing it without her.

She can sit, lay down and stay for exactly 5 seconds.

Spring is in the 89 degree air

It is toasty! We went from frost on the ground to 89 degrees. I fear I am becoming a yankee. I must make a trip back to the motherland soon! I fear I won't be able to handle the heat! I feel I need to bring Stiletto soon or she will have major culture shock when we make the transition back to Texas. We might have to do northern Oklahoma next and slowly work our way south (Just kidding Jessica and mom).

DON'T DO IT! It is a nightmare. It's like tag in a tub. I have to clean the bathroom wall to wall after Stiletto is done taking a bath. Here are some pics of the joyous event.

Oedipus Highlights

I have been getting a lot of junk from friends about Oedipus' lack of exposure on my blog. If you know Oed, you know why she doesn't get much air time. She's a tad bit snooty and hard to catch on film. Here is the best pic to date (I don't want to hear about how Stiletto made the shot too).

Oedipus has been on a diet recently. Believe it or not . . . she is a senior cat. Oed is going on 12-13 years old. WOW! It is strange how she ages, but I do not! HA! She has lost a ton of weight and is feeling young again. She put the smack down on Stiletto twice today. She rocks!

When the cat vet calls to weigh Oedipus she calls her Odipolis. So now I call Oed Odipolis from time to time so she won't be confused when we make a visit to the cat vet.

Notice I say "cat" vet. Stiletto goes to the "dog" vet. The cat vet is kind and is in Wilmore. The dog vet is in Nicholasville, but is open 24 hours. The dog vet loves Stiletto and comes in to see her everytime we go. Even if it's regular shots given by a technician, the dog vet sticks her head in to see Stiletto.

New tricks, stunts, and sleeping techniques

So . . . Stiletto is beginning to learn some tricks. She has mastered peeing in the house on the blue rug at least once a week. She sings in her crate at night (it is absolutely lovely). Her best trick is her ability to snip a human toe and get away before you can even touch her. She is truly amazing.

All kidding aside . . . Stiletto can sit, laydown, stay down, wait, and find her ROPE. She will search the whole entire house until she finds her rope. She is brilliant and growing fast. Next week she is going to start teaching me humility. Thanks for stopping by to see her latest pics.

We go back for a Parvo test soon so please be praying for a negative!!! I haven't prayed to fail a test in a long time.
